PR Project Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 11, 2026

Beta Notice: PR Project is currently in early access for users 18 and older. This policy describes how we handle data in the current mobile app and related services.

1. Introduction

PR Project LLC (“PR Project,” “we,” “us”) provides an endurance coaching platform for coaches and athletes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the PR Project mobile application, coach web interface, and related public support pages.

Our beta and early-access services are limited to users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Account information (name, email address, password, sign-in method)
  • Profile information and coaching preferences
  • Health and fitness information (goals, limitations, injuries, recovery feedback)
  • Workout and activity data (prescribed workouts, completion, performance metrics, training history, and optional Apple Watch workouts imported from Apple Health)
  • Athlete feedback such as effort, fatigue, soreness, and recovery notes
  • Coach-athlete messages, including text and images you send in one-to-one conversations
  • AI assistant prompts and generated responses when you use in-app training guidance
  • Support requests submitted through our athlete support page or in-app help
  • Photos, camera captures, and audio recorded with video when you use those features

We also collect certain information automatically, including:

  • Device information (device type, operating system, app version)
  • Push notification tokens if you enable notifications
  • Crash reports and diagnostic logs
  • Usage patterns needed to operate and improve the service
  • IP address and technical access logs
  • Precise location only if you grant permission for optional local weather-based workout adjustments
  • Data from wearable integrations you connect, such as Garmin, Strava, or Apple Health (HealthKit)

3. Device Permissions

The mobile app may request optional device permissions. You can deny any permission and continue using unrelated features.

  • Camera and photo library: profile photos, message images, and related media you choose to upload
  • Microphone: audio recorded with video messages when that feature is used
  • Location: optional local weather-based workout adjustments only; not required for core app use
  • Health: optional read of Apple Watch workouts from Apple Health after you connect; the app does not write to Apple Health
  • Notifications: training reminders, messages, and service updates when enabled

If you connect Apple Watch in the app, we read Apple Watch workouts from Apple Health (HealthKit) after you opt in so they can appear in your training log and count toward prescribed workouts. We import only new Watch-recorded workouts from that point forward. We do not write data back to Apple Health, we do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and we do not store HealthKit data in iCloud. Imported workouts are stored on our servers with your other training data and are visible to your assigned coach as part of coaching.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and secure our services
  • Authenticate users and manage accounts
  • Deliver coach-prescribed training, calendar, and workout experiences
  • Enable one-to-one coach-athlete messaging and workout feedback
  • Operate optional AI-assisted training guidance and onboarding assistance
  • Filter, review, and enforce our conduct standards for messaging and AI content
  • Process safety reports, blocking requests, and moderation actions
  • Send service, support, and notification messages
  • Sync optional third-party integrations you connect, including Apple Watch import through HealthKit
  • Monitor reliability, diagnose crashes, and improve the product
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

We do not use health or fitness data, including HealthKit data, for advertising or tracking.

AI processing: When you use AI features, your prompts and relevant training context may be processed by our systems and third-party AI providers to generate responses. Providers are contractually restricted from using your data to train their own public models. Unsafe AI input or output may be blocked, replaced with a safe response, or excluded from storage.

5. Coach-Athlete Messaging and AI Assistant

Messaging is limited to authenticated one-to-one relationships between a coach and athlete on the platform. There is no public feed or anonymous chat. Message content may be filtered before delivery, and images may be scanned before they become visible to the recipient.

The in-app AI assistant answers training-related questions using your account context. AI conversations may be stored so you can review prior guidance. You can report AI responses that concern you through the app.

6. Safety, Moderation, and Blocking

To keep the platform safe, we provide reporting and blocking tools for coach messages, user accounts, and AI responses. When you submit a report, we collect the report category, relevant message or response context needed to investigate, and account identifiers involved in the report.

Reports are reviewed by authorized PR Project operators. We may retain moderation reports, block records, and related audit logs for up to 12 months, subject to legal holds. Blocking another user stops direct messaging and related notifications between the blocked accounts while the block remains active.

7. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as follows:

  • With your coach or athlete: workout data, feedback, messages, and related coaching information needed for the coaching relationship
  • With service providers: cloud hosting, authentication, email delivery, crash reporting, content moderation, and AI processing providers that help us operate the service under contractual safeguards
  • With integrations you connect: Garmin, Strava, Apple Health, or similar services only when you authorize the connection
  • With your consent: when you explicitly agree to additional sharing
  • For legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect users and the platform
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to continuing protections

8. Third-Party Services

Depending on the features you use, data may be processed by providers such as:

  • Amazon Web Services: hosting, authentication, storage, and email delivery
  • Sentry: crash and error reporting for reliability
  • OpenAI and related AI providers: AI assistant responses and automated content safety checks
  • Garmin and Strava: optional activity and account sync when you connect them
  • Apple Health (HealthKit): optional on-device read of Apple Watch workouts after you connect; we do not write to Apple Health
  • Apple: Sign in with Apple when you choose that sign-in method

These providers process data on our behalf or at your direction and are subject to their own privacy terms for their direct services.

9. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitored infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

10. Your Rights and Account Deletion

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port your personal information.

You can delete your account in the mobile app under Profile → Delete Account. You can also contact us through our athlete support page or email louis@prproject.ai.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for backups, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or safety investigations.

Moderation reports and related audit records are generally retained for up to 12 months, subject to legal holds.

12. Children's Privacy

Our beta and early-access services are limited to users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. We may support users ages 13–17 in the future only after appropriate consent, privacy, messaging, and safety safeguards are implemented.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or by email.
